Sam Chang

Mr. Chang is a Principal at Phoenix, specializing in originating and underwriting new investments. Mr. Chang has over 12 years of experience investing in the private credit & equity markets and banking. Prior to joining Phoenix, Mr. Chang was a Principal at Piney Lake Capital and a Vice President at Freedom 3 Capital, where he focused on all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, analyzing and negotiating senior debt, mezzanine debt and minority equity investment opportunities across various industries (i.e. TMT, industrial and healthcare services). Mr. Chang was also an Associate at Czech Asset Management, where he focused on providing debt financing solutions to sponsor-backed middle market companies. Mr. Chang began his career as a credit analyst at JP Morgan and Citigroup.
