David Simpson

Mr. Simpson is responsible for treasury management at Phoenix.  Outside of Phoenix, Mr. Simpson is the CEO and Founder of Siman Systems. He was previously a Managing Director and served in various leadership roles at Barclays Bank PLC, including as Deputy Head of Structured Capital Markets, where he set up and ran a $500m pa delta one trading and financing business.  Prior to the role, Mr. Simpson was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs where he helped establish its equity finance desk post its IPO.  Mr. Simpson has also worked at Lehman Brothers and Salomon Brothers where he worked with the firm’s arbitrage desk until 1998.  He was involved in the unwind of the European arm of LTCM where he developed a passion for understanding liquidity risks.
